295 – Sidhu Moosewala (Moosetape) Lyrics with Translation
The Legend Sidhu Moosewala (SMW)’s song 295 Lyrics and Translation by Urs Lyrically. 295 lyrics meaning in hindi.
The Legend we all know, who left us too soon :(
He was a Singer, Activist, Politician, Actor, Lyricist, Farmer, Gangsta, Rapper and a good human being.
“Dil da ni maada” ❣️
He released 3 albums over his short life, latest of which is Moosetape, released in 2021. Which contains 295, a song full of meaning that people started to analyse carefully after his death on 29/5 22
It could be just a coincidence, or maybe it isn’t. Because Sidhu didn’t die for natural causes. He was assassinated, and that song is a protest song that refers to his right to speak, and the battles he always had in his life, to express his ideas against a society that wants to keep his mouth shut.
The song 295 is therefore a sad song that talks about the need people have in India to pay attention to what they say. Pure freedom of speech is a mirage, and whatever you will say publicly, you will get a lot of controversies.

Lyrics ✍️
das putt tera head down kaaston
(tell son why your head is down)
changa bhala hasda si moun kaaston
(you used to laugh but now why are you silent)
A jehde darwaje vich board chakki khade aan
(those who are standing at the door with boards)
main changi tarah jaanda aa kon kaaston
(i know very well who is here for what)
kuch aithey chaandi chamkauna chaunde ne
(kuch yaha apni chaandi chamkana chahte hain)
kuch tainu fad thalle launa chaunde ne
(kuch tujhe pakad ke neeche laana chahte hain)
(some came here who are hungry for fame)
(mardon pe toh musibat aati hi rehti hai)
dabi na tu duniya swaad lendi hai
(don’t feel down yeh duniya maze leti hai)
naale jehde raste te tu turreya
(aur jis raaste pe tu chal raha hai)
aithey badnami high rate milugi
(yahan badnami bahot milegi)
nit controversy create milugi
(daily you’ll get a bag full of controversy)
dharma de naam te debate milugi
(you’ll get only debates in the name of religion)
sach bolega ta milu do so pichanve (295)
(if you will say truth, they will impose section 295-A on you)
which can be interpreted as
“if you try to express your ideas, they will put you in jail”
je karega tarraki putt hate milugi
(if you’ll become successful then you will get hate)
About 295-A
A case that was registered against Sidhu Moose Wala for allegedly hurting the Sikh’s religious sentiments by using objectionable words (which he didn’t tho) against “Mai Bhago - a Sikh women who fought against Mughals”, in his song.
Synopsis
In 2019, ‘Ardab Mutiyaran’ movie was released which has a SMW (Sidhu Moosewala) song ‘Jatti Jeone Morh Wargi’. In the lyrics of the song he has written about the famous and brave Sikh warrior girl who lived in the 17th century Punjab ‘Mai Bhago’ in a line. He used it as a reference and wanted to convey some meaning (which people didn’t understood) through it but some people misinterpreted it and alleged him for using objectionable words against her.
The lyrics are as follows (which are deleted/edited/censored as of now):-
“Mai Bhago jehi aa taseer mundeya
pariyaan jehe painde he bulekhe mukde”
(Girl has the effectiveness like Mai Bhago, oh boy)
(all fairy like illusions get over when she shows up)
as he is giving the position of a legendary Sikh warrior girl who fought for our freedom in 17th century to a today’s girl as a reference in his lyrics, only people who do not respect today’s girls are having problem with it. He gave a very respectful position to a girl in his lyrics.
He gave a written maafinaama and also said “sorry” publicly on insta for it but people demanded to file the case against him.
‘Jatti Jeone Morh Wargi’ is a song which talks about women empowerment in a right way which is different from the psyche of the masses and the way they treat women that’s why the society don’t wanna accept it.
Its different from the fake/pseodo feminism (which girls are taking illegitimate advantage of) we are seeing nowadays, its real feminism (the way its supposed to be).
A user also trolled him on insta in the comment section of a post and said “Tik Ja Tik Ja..hale v ‘Mai Kaint’ bolno ni hatna #295A” . And, Sidhu replied, “295A chhad Bhave 302 hove Sach Keha Ta Sach E Kahu #mind it”. The Kidd even shared the screenshot on his Insta story.
